“Students need to learn how to manage their time better,” said Jonathan Kermiet, an MSU expert of student health, “they need to anticipate and keep on top of their work load.”

77 percent of students feel stress over academic concerns and 60 percent of students at some time have felt stress to the point of not being able to get work done, according to the Associated Press and MTV College Stress and Mental Health survey.

“The average attention span for a person is about 15 minutes it’s not going to be their advantage to be cramming for a couple hours,” said Kermiet.

“Better off getting up moving around, taking breaks, tries to do those things they know are good for them," said Kermiet

A seven page paper is due on Tuesday, as well as a two exams, not to mention the group project.

This are the things that many college students have dealt with that causes them plenty of stress.

39 percent of student said their school work has a lot of impact on their stressed rather than their own physical health which only 10 percent of students are effected by, according to The Associated Press and MTV survey on College Stress and Mental Health.

"I'm stressed about doing well enough to keep my scholarship and doing well in school," MSU student Zachary Eddy. 

MSU student Kristyn Carmichael said homework, exams, sleep, and functioning like a human being in law school are the main things that shes stressed about.

Beatty Cohan, a nationally-recognized psychotherapist and sex therapist, views a college relationship as a topic that many young college students aren’t educated about.  

“If you’re looking to hook up none of this matters, if you’re looking for something serious there has to be communication,” said Cohan.

 MSU students like Maria Pfaffinger, feel there are plenty of problems when being in a relationship  and it can be even more problems when your relationship is long distance, something she has realized through her own college experience.

"Taking time to talk to the person and not getting wrapped up in other people," said Pfaffinger when she expressed he common struggles with have a relationship in college.

The students have there own definition of what a relationship is to them and their own personal experiences.

Students have expressed their troubles with relationships in college and their expectation of a relationship hasn’t always been met.

With professors giving out either homework or an exam every day, family members that call you every other day, and having Michigan State University tuition bills piling up, where is room for a relationship?

Going around talk to college students on campus there are different opinions and view on the topic of relationships. Some students are in on campus relationships, long distance relationships, and some are just waiting for the right one to come along.

These Michigan State University girls closed all phones and had all eyes and ears to the television consistently every Thursday at 9:00 p.m.

Scandal, with every scene, had the girls either with their eyes wide in shock or faces scrunched in anger.

One of the girls Elizabeth Webster, also known as Lizzie, said that she had plenty to say when it came to one of her favorite show.

"I can't wait for the next episode cause it's getting to good," said Webster.

Another student named Ashley Reeves said that next Thursday she's bring more snacks for all the people that may comes.

After all is done with Scandal at 10 p.m. the girls are already anticipating for next Thursday at 9 p.m.

It is only one time you will ever see around seven to eight college girls get together and the room is completely silent, when Scandal come on ABC . 

On Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. everyone gathers into Armstrong Hall room B322 to watch one of the top shows in America, Scandal.

Every Thursday the countdown begins, and when Olivia Pope comes on the screen the whole room has to be silent.

Scandal is based on the life of Olivia Pope and her "Gladiators". Each episode they have a new problem that effects the White House but along with that Olivia has her own secret relationship with the most powerful man in the world, the President.
